The Swedish retail group has been around since 1943 but only came to the United Kingdom in 1987 and the US two years earlier, and is now present in countries such as Croatia, Australia and its largest one in the capital of South Korea, Seoul. It has most recently reached the densely populated country of India in August of 2016 and is due to open in 2017. While people all over the world adore this retailer due to its reasonable prices for modern looking furnishings, there are a few things you might want to avoid buying.
Keep away from the dresser drawers
While there are cases where things are overpriced, more often than not, what you pay reflects in the quality. That is certainly the case for the dresser drawers and chests that you find when meandering through the mazy store. The quality was so poor that 29 million dressers consisting of 6 models which were sold between 2002 and 2016 were recalled due to the number of injuries caused by them. There were 3 children that died due to the dresser being unstable and falling on top of them. During the recall they either provided buyers with a wall-anchoring kit or gave them partial or full refunds.
