Back in the day
Back in the day when Uzbekistan was part of the Soviet Union, the city of Mo’ynoq was actually a thriving port with tens of thousands of residents. The landscape that is now an expansive desert was once home to the 4th largest lake in the world with over 1,100 islets. The Aral sea is what made the industrial fishing and canning city thrive.
