You can be left with little money after rent, groceries, car insurance, mortgage, education costs and many other bills are paid off. But there are some cities that by far more expensive to live and travel around compared to other cities. These 6 cities have been ranked the most expensive cities in the world based on a 2017 worldwide cost of living survey released by Economist Intelligence Unit. The survey compared 160 goods and services such as food, drink, transportation, clothes, etc... in 133 countries around the world.
A decade ago 8 out of the top 10 were European cities, now there are only 4. Out of the top 6, 5 of them are in Asia and only New York City made the top ten from North America.
6. Seoul, South Korea

This is a beautiful city that has an astounding population of 50 million and is the worlds 16th largest city. With the Han River meandering through the city, bit makes for a beautiful balance between fast paced and soothing. It is the 4th largest metropolitan economy in the world after Tokyo, NYC and LA and in 2015 was rated Asia's mot liveable city and came second in the highest quality of life. If that's not enough, it is also the world's most wired city. But you will have to financially pay the price for living in such a top-class city.
