Every city has its pros and cons, but some most definitely have more cons than pros. These UK cities seem to have little thought put into them when they were designed and have seen little improvement over the years. Here is a list of the ugliest cities in the UK.
North of London lies the somewhat depressing city of Hempel Hempstead. There was an increase in population post-WWII in the 60's and 70's but the city wasn't ready for it and that still appears to be the case. While there was a garden redesign idea that could have lifted the city, it was rejected and the concrete buildings and roundabouts have taken over. The town centre is rather rough and leaves much to be desired.
On the plus side though, there is the Grand Union Canal which is nice along with Boxmoor and Gadbridge Park which is said to be a lovely place to take a walk with the family.
