Just north of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands and 125 km off the coast of Africa lies the beautiful island of Lanzarote. This gem of an island is one of the most popular places to go for holiday makers heading to the Canaries. Not only does it have the picturesque beaches but it is full of things to do when you need a break from the sun.
Cesar Manrique Foundation
The well known artists and architect, Cesar Manrique, built a home into 5 volcanic bubbles on the island which many believed to be impossible. After its impressive reception, he continued to expand his skills throughout the island and created some of the extraordinary tourist sites on the island. His home has been transformed into a foundation where visitors can explore both his work and the work of his contemporaries, Millares, Picasso and Saura.
