Assuming you don’t have a calculator to hand, let us tell you that her 25% is worth £82.2 million. This money is distributed in the Sovereign Grant which is paid two years in arrears.
The property portfolio is diverse which is why it’s a regular earner for the crown and the treasury. With two major retail schemes at Rushden and in Oxford mean that the group doesn’t just rely on the profits it’s made for centuries from property owned in Regent Street and Haymarket. That area of London, which is known as St James's Market, is some of the most profitable in the country.
